Nana Kumi Festival

Nana Kumi is an ancient war deity from Aburi-Nsaba, Ghana, West Africa. His shrine laid dormant for hundreds of years in the old town of Nsaba. In 1972 on a Thursday afternoon while walking the through the town, Nana Yao Opare Dinizulu I discovered an old tree stump overgrown by bushes. Nana Yao told the people that there was something under that tree stump. Due to the persistence of Nana Yao, they dug deep into the ground and found Nana Kumi.

Gifts and offerings can be presented to Nana Kumi. Dinner will be served following the Afahye.
